1.Isooctanoic acid may be made into salts of cobalt, menganese, plumbum, zinc, calcium, zirconium and rare earth elements used as dryers of paints, accelerants of unsaturated resin, stabilizers of PVC plastics, etc.
2.Its tin salt may be used as an additive of plastic pipes, barium salt and cadmium salt may be used as a stailizer of pressed plastic products, and glyceride is an excellent plasticizer.
3.Raw material for medical ammonium benzyl penicillin, carboxyl benzyl penicillin, etc.
4.It and its esters may be used to make sterilizers, antiseptics, spices, metal, leather, lubricants, additives, biological accelerants, etc.
5.It may be used as a thickener, gelatinizer in polyreaction and hydrocarbons.
It can replace naphthenic acid or be mixed with naphthenic acid with good effect.
